Getting started

Run the website in isolation, then use the existing frontend, backend, or contract package’s own manifest without starting a guessed all-in-one stack.

The website is a separate, static Astro package. It does not start the existing app, API, Python services, task broker, or contracts.

Prerequisites

For this website, use Node.js 22.23.4 or newer and npm 9.6.5 or newer. Those minimums are declared in website/package.json. The package has its own lockfile and needs no API key, database, wallet, or external service to preview.

The existing packages do not all declare the same Node engine requirement. Use a current supported Node LTS release and check the relevant package’s engines field before changing its dependency tree. The examples below are copied from each package’s declared script names; they are not a verified end-to-end launch recipe.

Run the website

Install and start from the website directory:

cd website
npm ci
npm run dev

The local preview is served at http://localhost:4321. The website’s own checks are:

npm run check
npm test
npm run build

The build is static. If you deploy it under a real public origin, set SITE_URL to that origin at build time so canonical links and the sitemap use the actual host. No production domain is assumed by the repository.

Existing project packages

React/Vite frontend — the LokiAi/package.json manifest declares dev: vite:

cd LokiAi
npm install
npm run dev

Vite uses http://localhost:5173 by default. This starts the browser package only; it does not establish that API, market-data, or wallet connections work.

Node API — LokiAi/backend/package.json declares dev: node –watch server.js:

cd LokiAi/backend
npm install
npm run dev

The backend may require private local configuration and dependent services. Configure those privately before starting it; do not copy repository values, secrets, or sensitive sample data into documentation, screenshots, or public reports. This guide does not print environment values or claim a database connection.

Solidity contracts — loki-contracts/package.json declares a local Hardhat compile command:

cd loki-contracts
npm install
npm run compile

This compiles the local contract package. It does not deploy to a public network, prove an audit, or establish that a contract address is live.

Boundaries before running

The repository contains multiple service and Compose paths. No single, safe, end-to-end startup command was verified for this site review, so the website does not run one automatically. Start only the package you intend to inspect and verify its environment and dependencies separately.

Do not treat a UI success state, a simulated rebalancer result, a model output, or a local contract test as a settled financial transaction. For the current source snapshot and limitations, read the architecture notes, agent guide, and security boundaries.
